Rosendale Road: A205 to Carson Road (northern arm)

Rosendale Road / Park Hall Road junction

Proposed changes to the Rosendale Road / Park Hall Road junction:<ul type="disc"><li>East side two-way cycle track with &#39;wands&#39; to protect people cycling</li><li>Three new parallel zebra and cycle crossings on the northern arm of Rosendale road and the western and eastern arms of Park Hall Road, to enable pedestrians to cross safely and people cycling to access and exit the cycle tracks.</li><li>The existing mini-roadabout will be replaced with a four-arm priority junction.</li></ul>

Phase 3: between A205 and Park Hall Road 

   Phase 3: A205 – Park Hall Road 

In phase 3 of the Brockwell Park to Gipsy Hill Healthy Route, the bi-directional cycle track will be extended south along Rosendale Road&nbsp;from the A205 to the junction with Park Hall Road. &nbsp;Phase 3 consists of:&nbsp;<ul><li>Continuation of the 3metre-wide two-way cycle track, protected with traffic islands and wands.&nbsp;</li><li>A new zebra crossing outside the shops.&nbsp;</li><li>3 new pedestrian and cycle parallel zebra crossings at the junction with Park Hall Road, to enable cycles to join the cycleway safely, and to facilitate safe pedestrian crossings.&nbsp;</li><li>1 hour free parking outside the shops</li><li>Raised continuous footways across the minor road junctions with Carson Road (both arms) and Elmworth Grove, to make pedestrian priority explicit, reduce motor vehicle speeds entering and exiting the minor roads and encourage drivers to take caution crossing the cycle tracks.&nbsp;</li></ul> Find out more in the <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://moderngov.lambeth.gov.uk/ieDecisionDetails.aspx?ID=8618" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">decision report</a>, which approves statutory consultation on traffic orders for Phase 3 of the Healhty Route. Transport for London (TfL) are leading on redesign of the Rosendale/A205 junction, with input from Lambeth. Designs are still being developed and will be shared as soon as possible. Lambeth and TfL are working together to install the junction and Phase 3 of the Healthy Route at the same time.

Please relocate your vehicles to a nearby road prior to resurfacing work commencing. Vehicles that are not moved will have to be relocated (details on how to find a relocated vehicle are below).During the work phases the road will be closed. This means there will be no vehicular access within or across the area and no parking while works are being carried out for safety reasons. However, there will be intermittent access for residents during the works, and residents will have full access after-hours (18:00 onwards). During the day when construction is ongoing, access will be limited, depending on which section is being constructed.Temporary Traffic Orders will be in place to support the &lsquo;No Parking&rsquo; cones and signage.
